Ken Elliott Elected to Board of Hunting Heritage Trust
|Ken Elliott of Northridge, California, a well-known publishing executive, sportsman and life-long conservationist, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Hunting Heritage Trust.|
An active and highly respected member of the hunting and shooting sports community for decades, Elliott served as Executive Publisher of Guns & Ammo and Petersen's Hunting magazines while also serving on the Board of Directors of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Southern California Safari Club and other groups. For the last 10 years, he served as President & COO of Bismuth Cartridge Company.
"I am honored and excited to be elected to the Board of the Hunting Heritage Trust," Elliott said. "I know most of the current Board members personally and professionally and I very much look forward to working alongside them in efforts to enhance our hunting and shooting sports heritage."
Before his election to the Board, Elliott had been instrumental in helping launch the Trust's new "Treasures & Traditions" program which features the online auction of donated hunting and shooting items on GunBroker.com. "Treasures & Traditions is an innovative program with tremendous potential," Elliott said. "I hope I can contribute to its future success".
The Heritage Trust's mission is to provide the framework through which the commitment and financial contributions of dedicated hunters and shooters can be channeled into short-term action and long-term endowments in support of America's hunting and shooting sports heritage. The Trust has awarded nearly a dozen grants in recent years in support of hunting awareness, shooting sports education and related programs.
